What Is HIT?

There has long been a perception that the longer you exercise, the better your results, thankfully this perception isn’t true! HIT or High Intensity Training is a type of exercise that is based on short bursts of intense exercise broken up by short, sometimes active, rest and recovery periods.

This type of training gets your heart rate up and means burns fat quickly. Great news for those that don’t’ have hours and hours a day for exercise. HIT means minimum time and maximum results! Another massive benefit to high intensity training is the Afterburn effect also known as Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption or EPOC for short.)

The Afterburn effect means that your body continues to burn more calories and fat for up to 48 hours after you stop exercising compared to longer, steady state sessions. So along with consuming less of your time, increasing your metabolism and burning fat for longer there is no reason to not come and give the HITZone a try.
