What is HIT?
HIT stands for high intensity training and involves repeated short bursts of high intensity exercise with periods of lower intensity active recovery in between.
Do I need any special training to use the machines?
At The HITZone, every session is a small group personal training session which will include no more than six people. The session will be led by a personal trainer who will coach you through each exercise and demonstrate how to use the machines before and during your workout.
Do I need any special equipment?
No. Just wear suitable training clothing and trainers. We provide a heart rate monitor and strap for the session. If you forget your own, then there is water available at The HITZone.
Is High intensity training suitable for me?

High intensity training is suitable for many people. It will accomplish two main goals, it will help accelerate and increase fat loss and will also improve aerobic and anaerobic endurance. This means that it is a good type of exercise for anyone who is trying to improve body shape or lose weight as well as helping to improve cardiovascular health. People who take part in in sport or activity where the intensity varies will benefit as well. HIT actually simulates sports like football, rugby and even boxing very well, as low to moderate intensity is constantly alternated with high intensity throughout the HITZone session. We would advise that if you have any doubts about your health or suitability for any form of exercise, you consult your GP before taking part.

How long is a session?

A small group personal training session at The HITZone will last 25 minutes including a warm up and warm down.

What can I expect from a session?

The HITZone will be delivering various types of sessions all based around high intensity training. Our lead trainer will design circuits which will help with fat loss, weight management, body shape, anaerobic and aerobic fitness.
